Writing 101: Poetry – Day 7

Day 7 of the Writing 101: Poetry challenge is here, and with it a new word! Today’s word is ‘Beloved’ and you can see my poem below!

Day 7 – Beloved

Beloved is my other half,
She lives with me and makes me laugh,
Monday through Friday,
She’s so untidy
We need to employ cleaning staff!

Of course I am joking, a jest,
She’s the love of my life, the best,
A trip to the tip,
with every hair clip
For mess in the house, I detest!

Of course I am joking about my other half being so untidy! But her hair clips/pins do find a way into every nook and cranny in every room in the house! And I’m sure that others out there will agree with me!
