How To Enable “Apps from Unknown Sources” on Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire Stick

Enabling “Apps from Unknown Sources” is normally the first step in installing most non-amazon apps, including Kodi. This option allows you to install apps from outside of the normal app store and is crucial for many of the popular apps on Amazon Fire.1

  1. From the home screen, scroll to “Settings”1a
  2. Scroll to the right and select “Device”2.jpg
  3. Scroll down and select “Developer options”3.jpg
  4. Select “Apps from Unknown Sources” to turn the option to “ON”4.jpg
  5. Finally, select “Turn On” from the popup message that appears5.jpg
  6. Viola! Done, now it’s time to install some apps!
